Asura's Wrath komt februari 2012

Nieuws | 1 november 2011 - De action-game Asura's Wrath komt op 24 februari 2012 naar de PlayStation 3 en Xbox 360, dit heeft uitgever Capcom bekendgemaakt.

Halfgod wil wraak
Asura's Wrath wordt ontwikkeld door Cyber Connect 2, een studio die eerder enkele Naruto-games heeft gemaakt. De speler neemt plaats in de schoenen van de halfgod Asura die de dood van zijn vrouw wil wreken. De game combineert Aziatische mythologie met sci-fi elementen.

Uniek en dramatisch
Capcom-producer Kasuhiro Tsuyachiya zei onlangs in gesprek met Eurogamer dat de uitgever op zoek was naar een unieke game die de studio niet binnenshuis kon maken. Uiteindelijk bleek Cyber Connect 2 de perfecte match.

Quote: "At Capcom we wanted to create a game we ourselves couldn't make in-house. We wanted to come up with a game that was very unique and beyond our imagination. We thought Cyber Connect 2 was the perfect fit for a collaboration.''

Asura's Wrath moet naast actie ook een sterke emotionele en dramatische kant bevatten. Hierbij speelt het thema 'woede' een belangrijke rol in de game.

Quote: "One of the challenges was the story, and coming up with the setting and the theme of anger and trying to make a high quality game while blending drama and action seamlessly. The story is more based on this theme of anger and a blend of action and interactive cut scenes."
